It's a sister thing
We’re two sisters, Sarah and Emily, from Wisconsin who hopped on a plane, sipped some great wine, and knew we had to bring it back (for you, obviously)!
We love wine and its ability to bring people together, but we grew frustrated with how overcomplicated and intimidating it could be.
Our initial goal with Offline was to make wine more fun and approachable. As we learned more about the wine industry we realized it could use a few more ladies and struck up a mission to champion higher quality standards.

We know you pick wines based on the label, but that doesn’t mean you should sacrifice quality. We source easy-to-drink, high-quality European wines and top them off with cheeky labels to catch your eye.
We extensively test all our wines to ensure they pair with countless foods and appeal to a wide range of taste buds. Our wines are perfect for any occasion, including your 5 pm laptop close or dinner with your boyfriend’s mom.

2017
the first sister wine trip
Our passion for wine began through a love of travel and understanding people and places. Like the diverse places wine comes from, we realized wine is dynamic and brings people together.
Coming from Wisconsin, we grew up with a love of agriculture. We often bond with winemakers over simple things like mushroom compost and our mom's vegetable garden.
2020
adventures in sewing
We started our first business together, Fofas, with a friend of ours during the pandemic. Fofas was a women’s luxury accessories business which we ultimately decided to sunset as we were all moving to different cities. We loved the experience, and from Fofas, we learned we work well together. With the many learnings from this first venture, we began looking out for our next!
2022
A wine-filled idea was born
The idea of Offline (formerly known as Vinat) was born on a rainy day after visiting one of our favorite vineyards outside of Barcelona. Sarah working on her MBA in Spain gave us a great chance to learn more about the wine industry. Through a budding love of wine we recognized an opportunity to shake up an industry we're passionate about.
2024
Popping our first bottles
With Emily’s experience in new product development combined with Sarah’s background in finance and supply chain, we embarked on a journey to create a line of wines that were easy to love and that made it to your glass without the standard markups.
We wanted to make picking out a bottle of wine fun and easy while never sacrificing what’s inside.
2025
We went offline
In the spirit of simplicity and our signature cheekiness, we decided to change our brand name to Offline. We feel it embodies both the feeling of unplugging that comes with a great glass of wine and the modern experience of living in the moment.

Vinat is a wine company in a male-dominated industry made by women, for women.
As a sister-founded, women-led company, we want to use our platform to empower, support, and advocate for other women. We're constantly seeking new ways to support women and minorities with Vinat, from supporting underrepresented winemakers to sourcing label art from lesser-known artists.
